Fellow Alcornites,
I bring you greetings from the Panola County Chapter of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association in Northwest Mississippi. Tunica, Mississippi is the site of the 2010 Mid-Winter Conference. The members of the Panola County Chapter are anxiously awaiting your arrival as we are busy making plans for a memorable occasion. We have an agenda planned that is filled with excitement and meaning-ful events that will allow you to heighten your appreciation for "Alcorn State University", and to take in sights around Memphis, Tennessee. We boast about the history available to you in Memphis, such as the Civil Rights Museum, the home of Elvis Pressley, Beale Street and fine restaurants such as Ground Zero, Stax museum of American Soul Music and the Memphis Grizzles.
The 2010 Mid-Winter Conference is being held at Harrah's Convention Center and the Veranda Hotel located on the property of Harrah's Casino in Tunica. You will enjoy the many amenities of Tunica County such as fine dining, shopping, ride on the Tunica Queen on the mighty Mississippi River, a visit to the Tunica Museum, golfing, tennis or gambling at any of nine casinos.
The Panola county Alumni Chapter of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association is elated and excited about your arrival. We are working overtime to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one.
